Freedom Run

Freedom Run 5th place---however I got the 3rd place prize Thanks to high schoolers and college athletes not being able to take money.
Well I think the consensus is that the only reason people do this race is to run on the parade route. I have never heard someone say they enjoy the course.  I think it would be easy to change things up so that we could run this without the mean uphill at the end. Either way people will continue to do this race so they can  run a 1 mile catwalk infront of people throwing those pop fireworks at you. Nothing better than inhaling explosive fumes while your running your lungs off.
Personally this race was not great, I felt flat straight from the gun, my pride helped me hold off some highschoolers behind me but overall I was disappointed with the performance, the most dissapointing thing however is I had such a great name for this race---Laquarium demeretron. What a shame that this name couldn't have stood as an ebenezer on hidden internet results pages for centuries to come.  Though I despise this course like the thousands of other runners I will likely be back next year to have my 5 min of fame infront of tired parade watchers, maybe then the legend of laquarium will be born.
Also it was great seeing all the other sojourners out there.  Congrats to preganant Cassie that was probably a world record 10k for a fetus.  Also Amber and Summer did great!
