Bryce Peterson: CASCADIA TRAIL SERIES 15k

Trail running is one of my favorite training events and this is exactly that.
I wasn't able to run a lot of these series races which I was really mad about but I had to because of work. But I wasn't going to miss this one and was really happy I didn't.

Training has really been going well for me so I knew I was in shape to handle a 15k, but this type of 15k is hardcore. You had very steep hills, very steep down hills, sharp turns, and you have to pay good attention to marks of the course, but that is pretty normal for a true trail course.
I was really glad to get to hang out with the team before we took off on our race and have a great chat.
I felt very good in the first couple miles and then took it nice and easy going up the hills.  I was trying to hang with Robert which I did until we hit the top of the mountain and then he blasted off and couldn't see him until the end.
During the race I was having problems with my Garmin and was spending a lot of time fixing the watch so it would read but I gave up on it and just tried to focus on the race, which it was such a great site to see! Such a beautiful course.
I would have to say this course is thee best trail races i've ever come across.
So I ended up getting 3rd place which I am not disappointed in one bit. I wanted to get a rock and a rock I got!!!
Time: 1:01:xx I am surprised I was running that pace because once I finished I recovered very very quickly.
Thank you Amber for getting all of my things so I could go to work :).
OVERALL: It was a fantastic day for me.

I would have some pictures but I don't know where to find them.
