I went into this race thinking I was in better 5k shape than I was. I thought that I'd be able to go 15:lows if I had to, but was surprised when my body gave up on me. Teren Jameson took it out hard and I wasn't prepared for that. After mile two I realized he had it as he made a move I was unable to cover. Once he took off I just held on for second. In the end I wasn't surprised to have lost, but I was surprised I felt so crappy at a pace I should have been able to run without too much difficulty. I underestimated this race and paid for it. I'm looking forward to my next 5k.
