My goal in this race was to make this as conservative of an effort as possible, while still placing in the top 2. Trevor ran faster than what would be considered comfortable for me and blew us all out that final mile. I knew if I wanted to compete for first I'd have to really push myself. Since it looked like I had the second place position locked up I felt like my goal had been accomplished and backed off Trevor's hot pace. Trevor looked like he had a lot left in the tank so I hope that sets him up for a solid year of racing and continued training. It was fun racing with Trevor and Derrick as they are both long time friends and we were able to catch up on the warm up and cool down. The event was a good one and I congratulate all those who made it possible.
