2nd place female, 36:48
I have run in the the Utah Valley Marathon races for many years now. The race directors do an excellent job and I have enjoyed it every year. This year I decided to run the 10k for the first time, and I really liked it! Not up to my usual speed, and will only be slowing down until I have my baby, but it is still fun to get out and be apart of the running community.
We had a later starting time than the longer races, which made for a more relaxing morning and quicker finish! Amber took the early from the gun and gradually pulled away for the first 5k. I then started to pick it up and see how close I could get. So I had a good last few miles and felt great the whole time, but kept my second place throughout. Happy with my overall time and how I ran the race.
Saw lots of other Sojourners out supporting and running in the races with strong finishes. Great weather and great event to be at!
