LAVENDER DAYS

LAVENDER DAYS 1st place
First off let me say that lavender days is amazing!! Zebra +Donkey= Zonkey
The race is amazing and getting $250 for first is an amazing pay day but if the race directors here want to kick things up a notch, they should give the winner their own Zonkey or at least let you ride it. Even better you could be allowed to ride the Zonkey into battle---joust battle that is.
Yep that is right they have jousting at lavender days.
So now that we all agree that Lavender days is rhinoserawesome! lets talk about the race.
A dirt road coarse-- cool cause it is different, if you run it in spikes it might be better. There are a couple of sand traps that are difficult to run through but all in all it was good.  I think the lavender days could use more lavender, it looked like the flowers hadn't bloomed yet this year, however there was still enough pollen to make me run this race in partial anaphalaxis.  Wish I could have breathed especially on the last mile.
Good job as well to Golden Harper, hope he makes his comeback! Then all of us race whores will live in constant fear of this former High School Prodigy.
