Freedom Festival 10k

Wow what a race. I actually stuck to my race plan and ran a smart race until I noticed everybody went the wrong way. I was looking forward to passing them on the last uphill but then lost that racing spirit after I saw them come back on course off a side road. I immediately thought well that stinks now I will never now if I was going to catch them on the uphill and for some reason just didn't want to beat them that way so I slowed down and ran with them for a half mile but noticed they were dying pretty hard so I was worried about 6th and 7th place catching us so I picked it up. After I crossed line and let Jaydn cross before me I knew I had made a bad decision and should have just raced and not worried about their mistakes and should have just raced for time after that. Was hoping to break 34:00 but missed out on it. It was a fun 5 miles and the highest place I have ever finished in that race sense I started racing it back in the mid 90's. Well on to bigger and faster races. Hard lesson learned.
