Utah Runner Girls Half

I signed up for this race a couple days ago when I decided to not run TOU.  That was a hard decision, but it didn't seem possible/wise/fun to race well on tired legs, and I would have needed to be fresh today to compete with the field in Logan.

The winner for this half got a beach cruiser so I was motivated.  This was one of the hardest courses I've run.  The first 2.5 miles are nice and downhill and then the rest was really hilly.  My splits were all over the place from 5:33 to 7:04, with an overall winning time of 1:22:53.

It was a no pressure race and so I just ran how I felt, which was nice.  I probably had my biggest lead ever which made it awkward at the finish.  They didn't expect me yet and wanted to check my Garmin to make sure I ran the whole course.

Now I have a awesome pink beach cruiser.....and no beach.  Well, maybe someday.
