I have done this race for the past couple of years to support this facility. I have a couple of close relatives that have been diagnosed with various mental illnesses and I wanted to show my support through this race. It is a pretty hard 10k course that starts and ends at 7 peaks. Jared Rohatinsky and a couple other guys took it out hard from the start so I tried to keep a few of them in sight so I wasn't in no man's land the entire race. I was able to keep a pretty good pace up - even going up the long hill up 9th east and was rewarded with a nice downhill finish. The course was short so my time of 35:37 isn't really legit, but it was an honest effort on a tough course. Derrick M. won the men's 5k so the SRT was well represented.
