H2O run - Melody

This was a local 5k along the Murdock canal in Lindon.  It was for a terrific cause with a focus on water safety awareness.  You can read about it here:  http://www.h2orun.org
After a really stormy night the weather and temps were perfect.  The course was fun and started slightly uphill from Pioneer Park in Lindon.  We then hooked on to the Murdock Canal trail and then turned at the halfway point and cruised down Main Street for a nice downhill finish.  There were a pack of faster high school boys I ran with for the first mile or so then I broke away with another guy and ran with him for the rest of the race.  At the halfway point there were volunteers shooting us with water guns and that was fun.  At the finish line there were firefighters blasting their hoses at us too.  I was definitely feeling the 1/2 marathon in my legs still, but I was happy with the effort, and it always feels good to support a good cause and meet some really great people.
